Red Shadow over the White House
As the 2024 elections approach, Russian interference in American politics – through spies or agents of influence – is a troubling reality. Vladimir Putin is counting on Donald Trump’s victory to weaken support for Ukraine. Why does Trump almost always support Russia? Is he compromised? During his presidency, did he betray the United States in favor of the Kremlin? And why has the Republican Party shifted its stance toward Russia? Answering these questions means shedding light on a labyrinthine espionage and manipulation operation. Still ongoing, it began forty years ago, during the final years of the Cold War. Back then, Trump was merely a real estate developer, and Putin was a young KGB agent. This operation contains many dark areas, but some hold pieces of the puzzle. A former KGB leader, infiltrated “illegals,” a former Trump advisor, and former senior officials from the CIA and FBI, as well as a former prosecutor, provide testimony. . . . The Athens Ripper: The Crimes of Adonis Daglis
This documentary is about the Athens Ripper, but aims to address not only the rising tide of femicides in Greece, and how often these tragedies are overlooked, misrepresented, or forgotten by the media; but also raise awareness on sexual assault. Femicides are not isolated incidents. They are part of a broader pattern of violence against women, often driven by deeply ingrained misogyny; as well as violence towards men. All which are occurring more often than we might think. Often the media reduces victims' stories to shocking headlines, disregarding the warning signs, and the failures within a society that allow such tragedies to persist. We need to break the silence surrounding violence against women and men, and through this documentary, I hope to shed light not only on the past crimes of the Athens Ripper, but also on the issue of sexual assault that is occurring, right at our front door.
The Lost Album of the SS
In 2016, an album containing 250 previously unseen photos of Nazi officials was discovered in the USA by Stephan Hördler, a prominent Holocaust historian, who immediately understood the album's inestimable value. The album brings together photographs of a "group of friends," all from the same region of Germany, all of whom became SS men. From 1928 to 1943, the photo album allows us to follow their journey. Hördler conducted the investigation, comparing the photos in the album with other, better-known ones, the faces of these men with those of concentration camp officials, and ultimately revealed that it was at Lichtencburg that these young men were trained, a "school" for future camp executioners, and the bonds of camaraderie and informal network that would allow them to help each other, even after the war.
