"La Dolce Doku" is a master's thesis by Leonard Stern. After threatening to commit suicide in 2012 if his music didn’t take off, Devon Hendryx (now known as JPEGMAFIA) created The Ghost Pop Tape with a new sound that seems to reflect his new feelings towards his music. The Ghost Pop Tape shows him at his most vulnerable and depressed state while he was living in Japan. It was released with a DVD film to accompany it. However, the DVD is currently lost media. A download for the movie was available at ghostpop.jp, along with a free download of the album.

On 21.12.2012 in the Fox Theater in Pomona, California, a Suicide Silence Memorial-concert for Mitch Lucker took place. The motto of the concert was "Ending is the beginning". A range of guest-musicians, friends and fans of the Deathcore-legend Suicide Silence concelebrated with the band in loving memory of the late singer. Mitch Lucker died on 01.11.2012 after a tragic motorbike crash. He left his wife and their daughter Kenadee behind.
