Overview

It is election night. Linda Jakobsson, married for 30 years to the Social Democratic finance minister Gert Jakobsson, sits at home on the sofa watching the election drama unfold on TV. Linda hears the commentators talking about the Social Democrats' biggest defeat, and just a glimpse of her better half on TV is enough: she can see that he has now decided to crush Prime Minister Per Viksten and take over as party leader himself. The opening credits theme song was "Dreams," written by Dolores O'Riordan and Noel Hogan and performed by The Cranberries. The series was filmed in Chester, Crystal Crescent Beach, and Halifax, all located in Nova Scotia, Canada. It aired in France and Sweden in 2006, Australia in 2007 and New Zealand in 2010. It has been released on DVD by Warner Home Video.
