The Legend of the Condor Heroes is a Hong Kong television series adapted from Louis Cha's novel of the same title. It was first broadcast on TVB Jade in Hong Kong in 1983. The 59 episodes long series is divided into three parts. This 1983 version is considered by many to be a classic television adaptation of the novel and features the breakthrough role of Barbara Yung, who played Huang Rong.

Hamato (now Master Splinter) changes into a giant rat from the green glow and teaches the turtles the skills of the ninja as they team up with news reporter April O'Neil to battle against Yoshi's arch enemy Shredder and Krang, an alien warlord from Dimension X.

Legend of the Heavenly Stones
In 1402, five legendary stones of immense power were aboard a ship when tragedy struck. Everyone aboard the ship was lost except one official who happened to grab hold of the "red" stone. Our story begins 5 years later after another explosion caused by Prof. X occurs at an event on a campus designed to gather interest in reviving the lab's work. Tie Xiong, the main speaker, genius student, and son of one of the scientists from the first explosion, decides to hunt down the stones and Professor X, with the only survivor from the lab explosion and a few friends.
